The NPAP Media and Communications Sector focuses on physical activity promotion through engagement with various communications outlets. Media campaigns are designed to increase awareness and/or knowledge, influence attitudes and beliefs, and eventually result in behavior change such as increased physical activity. The sector aims to develop a standardized brand for promoting physical activity to spread through traditional and new media channels.
