The Physical Activity Alliance has worked with the FrameWorks Institute to conduct research aimed at identifying the most effective ways to communicate physical activity messages to policymakers and the public. Phase 1 was completed in 2020 and Phase 2 will be undertaken as soon as funding is available to support the project.
This important research will advance understanding of how different groups think about and describe physical activity. The Frameworks Institute conducts research that tests different metaphors, values, narratives, messengers, and other framing strategies to uncover how best to open new ways of thinking about issues such as physical activity and its impact on the health and wellbeing of society.
